Andrew Au Yeung received a Bachelor of Music degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, majoring in Horn, under the guidance of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra Principal Mr. Jiang Lin and the performer Mr. Li Shaolin.
He then pursued a Master of Music in Orchestral Instruments at the Hochschule für Musik Mainz under the guidance of Professor Mahir Kalmik, principal horn of the Frankfurt Opera, and virtuoso Stef van Herten.
While studying in Germany, Ouyang was a special horn player for Kammerorchester Frankfurter Solisten.
After returning to China, he served as a special horn player for the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, and was also active in various orchestras in Hong Kong, including the Hong Kong Creation Orchestra, the Mahler Orchestra and the charity orchestra Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra.
Ouyang was invited to participate in Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra International Horn Art Week and Beijing International Horn Music Festival as a guest. He has served as a horn instructor and orchestra conductor in various international and local schools, and has also been invited as a judge in various music competitions.
